Here are some questions we get asked!
Is the site level?
The site is reasonably level. There are wheelchair freindly gravel paths from the carpark to the shop and round to the distillery. The remaing paths are cut grass that wheelchairs with an able pusher can negotiate.
Is the site muddy?
No, we are on free draining soil and dont get puddles. We are however a farm and good walking shoes are recomended.
Do we need a change of clothing?
Only if you go in the Mud Kitchen and Giant Sandpit. The only wet and muddy area on-site!
Can we bring our dog?
Dogs are welcome as long as they are on a lead at all times. We have water bowls for them.
Can we pay by card?
We accept all major cards except American Express.
Do you have toilets on-site?
We have toilets, baby changing facilities and LH & RH disabled toilets.
Do you have parking on-site?
We have plenty of free car and coach parking. We prefer coaches and groups to book in advance.
Are you easy to find?
Yes but don’t follow your SAT Nav for the last 1/2 mile. Look out for our Brown & White signs on the A64 before turning off.
Is there public transport?
You can get to within a mile of ourselves on the Coastliner Bus from Malton to Scarborough. The nearest train station is Malton.
When is the Lavender in flower
The lavender starts to flower mid-June & throughout July and August.
When do you harvest the Lavender?
We harvest and distill the lavender during August. By the 1st week in September it will all be cut.
When is best to see the Wildflowers?
Usualy May through to mid June depending upon the weather.
