Wildflowers – Bluebells

Bluebells

Over the years we have planted all sorts of wildflowers in different areas of the farm. Towards the end on March and into early April the bluebells start to make an apperance. Small clusters are growing around our woodland walk. The different clumps are multpying year on year as they colonise their areas. They are short lived in their flowering but their vibrant blue is uplifting to the spirit in that short time.

A fine and subtle spirit dwells
In every little flower,
Each one its own sweet feeling breathes
With more or less of power.
There is a silent eloquence
In every wild bluebell
That fills my softened heart with bliss
That words could never tell
